CO5/CO6: Powered Process Totalisor

The CO5 and CO6 Powered Process Totalisers are programmable instruments which have been designed to accept pulses from dry relay contacts, photo electric switches, open collector proximity switches or 24VDC voltage pulse. The input measurement is shown on a high contrast 5 digit or 6 digit LED display. The instruments incorporate field programmable totalising rates and a 24VDC isolated supply for powering remote sensors. The CO5 and CO6 are supplied in a panel mount 72 x 144 mm enclosure. Screw terminal electrical connection is included.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

Input Details
The instrument counts input pulses and displays the totalised value on a 5 or 6 digit LED display. The input is optically isolated from the instrument and the signal can come from a dry relay contact, open collector transistor, reed switch, photo electric or proximity switch or voltage pulse.

Output Details
An output relay is provided with form C contacts rated at 5 amps 240VAC resistive for use as a repeat contact.

Display
The CO5 incorporates five (5) digit 25mm digit height and the CO6 incorporates a six (6) digit 20 mm high contrast light emitting diode (LED) with a wide viewing angle and a viewing distance of 7.5 metres.

Decimal Point
Programmable from the front panel.

Scaling Factor
This is the pulses per unit of measure. It is programmable from the front panel and can be set to add multiple counts for each pulse in, divide incoming pulses and totalise up and down.

Count Integrity
Contact bounce elimination and optical isolation circuitry combined with user programmable debounce periods enable error free counting even in the most difficult application.

Totaliser Memory
The instrument incorporates a running and a background total. In normal operation the reset button will only reset the running total.
