IBL Batch Controller
The IBL Batch Controller is intended for flow applications where accurate measurement and control of batch quantities is needed. Batch total, accumulated total and set point value can all be shown on the large, easily-read LCD display. It integrates a six digit LCD display supported by a white LED back light for high visibilty. The instrument can be configured from the front touch buttons to batch volumes from 0.1 to 999,999 litres and K factors from 999,999 to 0.01. The instrument can batch in up or down mode and provide the excitation power supply for the flow sensor.

The IBL is an 85 to 265VAC universal powered or 12 to 40VDC powered Batch Controller for liquids that incorporates a six (6) digit 18mm character height LCD (liquid crystal display). The instrument can be configured to batch volumes from from 0.001 to 999,999 litres in up or down mode and provide the excitation supply to the sensor.
The IBL can operate in local mode by the front panel push buttons or in remote mode as these functions are available from the rear terminal strip.

Technical Specifications
Input Details
The instrument accepts an input from 0 to 5Khz and is dip switch selectable for open collector, reed switch, hall, namur and turbine signals (from 30mV peak to peak).
Display
The IBL incorporates a six digit LCD display with a character height of 18mm and an integrated white LED backlight. The display has a viewing distance of 5 metres. The front panel switches are an embossed membrane type with a ositive action.
Totalisor Memory
The instrument has a background running total that is stored in eeprom memory during loss of power. The total can be displayed by a front panel touch button and rest by a normally open push btton across terminal 1 and seven.
Low Flow Alarm
The instrument includes a low flow alarm. If no pulses are received in a preprogrammed period the low flow output becomes active and the batch is cancelled. LF ERR is displayed.

Power supply
85 t0 265VAC 47-63 Hz or DC to DC convertor from 12 to 40VDC. An adjustable transducer supply of 8 to 20VDC at 30mAis also available.
Mounting details
Panel mounting extruded aluminium enclosure of case dimensions 144mm wide x 72mm high x 130mm deep [including rear terminals]. It has a panel cut out of 139mm wide by 67mm high.
Batcher Operation
The batch size is set from the front panel. Pressing the start button will energise relay one and start liquid flow. Relay two will energise after its programmed time delay is exceeded. The display will increment or decrement in value as the batch progresses to the finish. If a prestop has been programmed relay two will de-energise before the end of batch. When end of batch has arrived the end of batch signal is activated. The batch process can be halted at any time with the stop button and restarted which will cause the batch to continue from where it stopped but not reset the batch counter.
